Using the wet-on-wet technique, you’ll learn how to build soft layers of color, create organic blooms and foliage, and let watercolor move in unexpected ways across the page.
This workshop is less about perfection and more about enjoying the process. Along the way, you’ll experiment with brush techniques, color mixing, and watercolor basics while creating your own floral-inspired painting. Whether you’re completely new to watercolor or just looking for a relaxing way to create, this class offers space to play, explore, and follow your curiosity. All materials are included.

About the Teaching Artist
Yali Lewis is a painter, metalsmith, and the creative force behind Lewis & Pine, a Main Street staple in Beacon for the last eight years. With over a decade of teaching experience—including her current role as an Artist Educator at Dia:Beacon—Yali combines her love of making with her love of teaching. Her goal is for each student to find joy in the process of making and to leave with the enthusiasm to continue with their creative journey.
