Curious about stained glass but not sure where to start? In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll be guided through the essential tools and techniques used to create stained glass work—no prior experience needed.
You’ll create your own color wheel suncatcher while learning how to cut glass, grind edges, apply copper foil, and solder your pieces together. Each step is demonstrated and supported, so you can focus on learning the process and enjoying the experience.This workshop is about getting comfortable with the materials, trying something new, and leaving with both a finished piece and the skills to keep exploring.

What to bring / wearPlease wear durable clothing and closed-toe shoes.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION
$75 per person. All materials are included (a few of $20 is included in your tuition)
Please note that participation in this stained glass workshop involves the use of
potentially hazardous materials and tools, including but not limited to sharp glass,
chemicals, solder containing tin and lead, and heated soldering irons. You will be asked to sign a waiver before the start of class. A copy of this waiver is available for you to review during check-out.
About the Teaching Artist
Aaren Connolly is a stained glass artist and educator with over six years of experience working in the medium. Her work blends traditional techniques with a modern aesthetic, emphasizing color, light, and form. Through her workshops, Aaren helps students gain confidence working with glass while experiencing the satisfaction of creating something by hand. You can learn more about her and her work here.
