Celebrate spring with a sweet embroidery project—and a new set of skills!
Overview
In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll learn how to stitch gingham fabric with spring produce to create a “picnic” scene. Think artichokes, leafy greens, peas, lemons, and more. We’ll cover basic tools, steps for preparing an embroidery hoop, easy stitches, and how to work with store-bought or custom patterns. You’ll also explore ways to create texture and dimension with thread. By the end, you’ll leave with your own custom embroidered piece that you can display (or stitch to pillows, dish towels, or tote bags). All materials provided and no experience necessary.
Format: 3-hour, one-time workshop, Adults & 15+

Taught by Kirsten Nunez a multi-disciplinary artist and writer based in Beacon. A lifelong maker, she primarily focuses on embroidery, jewelry making, zines, and block printing—though she frequently attends workshops to learn new mediums.
