Welcome fall with a seasonal embroidery project—and a new set of skills!
In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll learn how to stitch 100% cotton tea towels with autumn motifs like pumpkins, acorns, leaves, mushrooms, and more. (Love Halloween? We’ll have spooky-themed designs, too.)
We’ll cover tools, steps for preparing an embroidery hoop, basic stitches, and how to work with store-bought and custom patterns. You’ll also explore ways to create texture and dimension with embroidery thread.
By the end, you’ll leave with 2 custom embroidered tea towels that you can display or use at seasonal gatherings. All materials provided and no experience necessary.
Format: 3-hour, one-time workshop, Adults & 15+. All. materials

- For one-time workshops, cancellations made within 7 day will receive a class credit. We determine whether a class will run and purchase materials based on enrollment numbers at that time. Taught by Kirsten Nunez a multi-disciplinary artist and writer based in Beacon. A lifelong maker, she primarily focuses on embroidery, jewelry making, zines, and block printing—though she frequently attends workshops to learn new mediums. Kirsten also runs Supernova Crafts, which hosts DIY charm necklace pop-ups around the Hudson Valley.
