What does it feel like to let go of expectations, perfection, planning, and just be free?
You’ll find out in this intuitive collage workshop centered around self-expression, play, experimentation, and the simple act of making without pressure.
Overview
Collage is increasingly being embraced as a simple, accessible way to reduce stress, process emotions, reconnect with creativity, and support positive mental well-being. Something happens when we allow ourselves to cut, tear, layer, arrange, and create without worrying about outcome. The mind quiets. Time slows down. We enter a state of flow where, even for a little while, the outside world fades away.
In this workshop, the act of creating is the goal. If what you make turns out beautiful too, that’s just the cherry on top. Through guided prompts, warm-up exercises, and intuitive making, participants will explore collage using paper, imagery, texture, color, and composition to create work rooted in feeling, instinct, memory, and curiosity. Participants are encouraged to play, experiment, make a mess, rip things up, start over, and let go of perfection in a relaxed and supportive studio environment.
Whether feeling creatively stuck, emotionally overwhelmed, or simply looking for a different way to unwind and reset, this workshop offers space to slow down and reconnect with the simple act of making.
No experience needed. All materials provided.
Disclaimer: This workshop is developed based on Stacey's own experience using collage as therapeutic practice. She is not a licensed art therapist or mental health professional.
